Planet
Earth Rock and Roll Orchestra is the name of a Band and an
album that in many ways helped to ignite the fires of
creative thought and inspire millions of folks to adopt a
lifestyle of freedom and self expression.
While Planet
Earth Rock and Roll Orchestra - the album had a long stay
in the vaults of RCA, those who were fortunate enough to
get a copy in 1982 regard this as one of the best ever
Jefferson Starship recordings, perhaps one of the best
recordings of all time.
Brief History
The Planet
Earth Rock and Roll Orchestra was really a super group.
While Jefferson Airplane, The Grateful Dead and Crosby,
Stills, Nash and Young were recording at the same studios
they came together (with many other friends) to
record/collaborate on several albums. Planet
Earth Rock and Roll Orchestra or PERRO was a great
experiment among many very talented friends. The first
Jefferson Starship album was a result of that
collaboration. As Jefferson Starship began to drift from
it's original course Paul Kantner decided to do a bookend
album to complete that phase - Planet
Earth Rock and Roll Orchestra was to be the last
Jefferson Starship album and he went with Marty Balin and
Jack Casady to form the KBC Band.
Through an exclusive deal with RCA we now are able to get
this classic in your hands (click
